Luz Roth is the Texas Association for Bilingual Education, TABE Teacher of the Year, 2018 and current Vice-president of the Bilingual Association of the Dallas Metroplex. As a curriculum and instruction specialist, she designed and developed new professional development methods for teachers of second language learners and created the Spanish curriculum and assessment for Success for All developed at John Hopkins University. She currently works in the implementation of best practices in bilingual/ESL classrooms and the success of Dual Language programs in various school districts including: Broward Schools, Region 20 ESC, and International Leadership of Texas. Her consistent success increasing English Learners’ (ELs) academic achievement in grades PK – 8, afforded her the opportunity to present about US bilingual programs in the International Dual Language Conference in Madrid, Spain.
Viviana Hall a native of, Colombia with 20 years of experience in bilingual education. She began her teaching career in the bilingual classroom at Garland ISD and quickly joined acclaimed bilingual teacher training programs as a faculty member in north Texas universities including: Southern Methodist University, SMU and Texas Tech University, TTU.
As a co-founder of Global VIDA, she was recently invited to speak about the severe bilingual teacher shortage across the world at the 2018 International Dual Language Conference in Madrid, Spain working with international figures like Dr. Stephen Krashen. Viviana is the Bilingual National Consultant for Istation where she has been instrumental in the development of the Spanish reading products.
Coral Buendía from Puerto Rico has a wealth of knowledge in foreign language education and linguistics. In her 13 years of experience in Bilingual and ESL education, she exemplifies true passion and dedication to this honorable profession where she started as a PK through 5th grade teacher and quickly moved up to demanding leadership roles. As a graduate from the Dallas Future Campus Leaders Program she has been an Instructional Leadership Team member, a mentor for new teachers, and a UIL Academic Coach serving as a teacher-trainer for her campus and the Dual Language Department in Dallas ISD.
Working for Global VIDA she is fulfilling her mission to support teachers in their endeavor to become even greater than they already are.
Susana Morales is a young Latina with a passion for serving underrepresented communities and especially children at-risk. Her work as a media and public relations specialist has opened amazing opportunities to voice the concerns and realities of those in unprivileged situations by creating systems of support and building bridges to connect and appreciate the value of every individual. Working with bilingual education programs has provided the platform to increase her positive influence and provide new hope for a greater educated future. As a Global VIDA Manager, she is the webpage interface designer in charge of all communication materials and interactive network systems through social media campaigns; events open to the public and international/national conference engagements.
